VEHICLE CATALOGUE

The customer, a leading automotive group, following the introduction of a new private cloud infrastructure, decides to use the new centralized database and the related web services as a reference for the automated generation of vehicle sales programs. .

These documents include the catalogues and price lists that are provided to dealers as sales support. The customer needs to define a web solution to automate and standardize the generation of catalogs and price lists for sales programs, while also automating the process of acquisition and aggregation of data previously managed manually by the offices in charge. Priority must be given to ensuring the reliability of data that is taken directly from the cloud and set to the final document, and usability by users.

We designed a Spring-based Java architecture structured in:

• Enterprise Web component made available to the profiled user to choose the type of document to be produced (e.g. Complete, Partial), to provide additional information not provided in the centralized system and to activate subsequent batch generation processes, with vision of the outcome of each operation
• Enterprise Batch components for data acquisition from the cloud, aggregation of the same according to commercial guidelines and production of sales programs with enhancement of the reference Excel template, integrating them with user customizations

The dynamic architecture is able to process multiple types of Excel outputs and provides an alerting system that reports any malfunctions.
